The Premiers of Victoria and Western Australia favour Hobart as the place at which to hold the conference on the reciprocity question. The Premier of South Australia favours sitting in Now Zealand. Received December 24, 1,40 a.m. Sydney, December 23. Mr G. H. Reid, Premier of New South Wales, states there is no objection to New South Wales being represented at the Reciprocity Conference proposed by Mr Seddon, Premier of New Zealand. Though the Government believes in Froatrade, they are, ho says, desirous of promoting reciprocity as much as possible. It is impossible, however, that the colony can be represented unless tho conference is held in Australia.
