The Waihi Company's mine for the four weeks ending 12th inst. crushed 3030 tons for a yield of j£13,059 worth of bullion. The Waitekauri Company's inine for five weeks ending 12th tost, treated 1707 tons ore for .£5119 worth of bullion. The quality of the ore crushed was below the average-owing to tho dry season -Kapai'Vermont treated 128 tons for 2lßoz bullion. Haurahi North crushed 12 tone general ore and <4OO. pounds picked stone for a yield of 116 oz bullion. The the Waihi, Torke Zone, Tairua Beefs and Wentworth Goldmining Companies have empowered their directors to sell tho properties. At a meeting of shareholders of the Golden Opportunity it was stated that an English syndicate only now awaited tho arrival of amended papers before lodging .£250 with the bank on behalf of the purchase money. The amended terms provided for a working capital of -£15,000, and gave the local holders 30 per cent, of the shares fully paid up, including a substantial amount in cash. 3ho option for the flotation of tho Harp of Tara has been extended for two months. Mr K. A. Eecolt has received- a cable message from the syndicate ho reprosenta (Carson Woods Syndicate,Londonl to the effect that they had taken over the Colpwinsor and Colewinsor Extended at Waitekauri.
