NEW ZEALAND SWIMMING ASSOCIATION.

By Telegraph .—Press Association. Christchurch, December 21. The adjourned annual mooting of tho Now Zealand Swimming Association was- hold tonight, representatives of tho Kaat Christeburoh, Wanganui, Napier, Auckland, Blenheim, liutt Valley, Wellington, Christchurch, Richmond, New Brighton, Otaki, Sydenham, Lyttelton and Ashburton Clubs being present. The Pahiatua Club affiliated to tho Association. Sir R. Stout and Mr K. W. St. Clair were nominated for the office of president, tho former being olcctedou the casting vote of tho chairman. Mr J. G. Smait was elected secretary. The championships were allotted as follows : Ashburton; 220yds, Wellington; plunge, Richmond; distance diving, East Christchurch; water polo, Sydenham. Tho allotment of the other championships was loft in the hands of the executive. An application from tho secretary of the New Zealand Cyclists’ Union to allow tho members of tho clubs affilixtod to that body to become members of recognised swimming clubs was received. It was by 13 to 8, that no person who raced for cash in cycling, athletic, or swimming, could bo accepted as a member of tho Association. A committee was appointed to arrange for a presentation to Mr St. Clair, tho late secretary.
