Norman, who says that Queensland is likely to. object to tho frequent extended absence of ships from that colony. Mr Play/ord states that the colonies will want a voice in tho manning of vessels. Mr- W. P. Beeves thinks the proposal to abolish the local character of the squadron demands careful consideration.
