It is reported that a session of Congress will bo held in the spring to deal with the tariff question, . Higher rates are proposed in regard to woollen goods, tin and timber, and thus importers from Australia and Canada will be especially hit.. , ,! President-elect McKinley, it is believed, will use the federal patronage of the States as a lever to seouro lbe adoption of the new tariff, and will bribe the Western States by the duties on wool.
