A verdict of wilful murder against Butler was returned in both oases.
Evidence was given that Butler told Weller not to let any'of hia friends see him, aS he Was well known to the miners, and bad the reputation of being especially clever, and they would think he was on the track of something good and Would probably follow thenl. , , It tfas stdtUd fcliilfc, before coming to AUsbhilia, Weller was mining in the Transvaal, and was among the Jobannesburghers who armed to assist the Jameson raid.
