CIRCUMNAVIGATION. NOT CONFINED TO THE FIFTEENTH CENTURY. , Sir Francis Drake sailed from Falmouth, England, in-1577, and circumnavigated the globe, and after many perilous adventures returned to England in 1580. Circumnavigation, however, was not brought to a science until the present century, and strangolv enough it has attained to its greatest strength in Australasia, where throughout the length and breadth of the continent the public are circumnavigated by scoundrels in sheep’s clothing who palm off vile concoctions which thoj place in empty bottles which previously held the genuine Wolfe’s Schnapps. One way to prevent this is to break the bottles after the genuine Schnapps has been used, and another is to buy whole bottles. 1
