The N.Z.S. Co.'s steamer Tongarlro arrived from London via Plymouth, Capetown and Hobart at 8 o'clock yesterday morning. She left Plymouth on 2nd May, and arrived at TonerifTe on 7th May, left again at 0.11 p.m. same day, crossed the Equator on 11th May, and arrived at Capetown at daybreak on tho 21th. After discharging passengers and cargo, the Tongariro left for Hobart at 1.16 p.m.. reaching there on tho 13th Juno, and sailed for Wellington next day. The Tongariro was berthed at the Queen’s Wharf shortly after arrival, and commenced discharging. She has 2350 tons on board, of which 1000 tons will bo landed hero. About 15,000 legs of mutton, 100 halos wool and o quantity of tallow and dairy produce will bo shipped, after which sho sails for Lyttelton about Tuesday next. Sho leaves Lyttelton for London on tho 9th July. Tho To Anau, which has been laid up in Port Chalmers for some months past, has been again placed In commission, and arrived here yesterday from South. Captain Wald, lato chiof officer of tho Taluno, is now In charge of tho To Anau, and has associated with him tho following officers Chief, Mr Worrall (Jato Mawhora); second, Mr Stevens (lato Tarawcra); third, Mr Clift (lato Mararoa); chief engineer, Mr Dalrymplc (lato Flora); purser, Mr Murlcy (lato Hauroto); chief steward. Mr White (lato Omapero). Tho To Anau loft for Sydney via East Coast and Auckland yesterday evening. Tho Herald will bo docked for an overhaul and examination on arrival at Port Chalmers.

Tho Walroa arrived from Picton yesterday aftcunoon. She leaves for Havelock to-clay. Tho Tasmania, from Sydney via Auckland and East Coast, arrived yesterday morning, and loft for the South in tho evening. Tho JCahn leaves Napier on Monday with a cargo of timber for Lyttelton. Tho Penguin, from Nelson and Picton, arrived yesterday morning. She sailed for Lyttelton in tho afternoon.

The Takapuna arrived from Lyttelton yesterday. Bho sailed for Now Plymouth and Onehunga lato last night. Tho Waihl arrived from Blonhoira yesterday. She returned the same evening. Tho Mahinapua, which left Onehunga at 2.80 yesterday, leaves New Plymouth at 6.30 this morning for Wellington.
