AUSTRIAN EXPOSITION.

It Will be Devoted to Matters of Physical; Education, Hygiene and Sport. For some time past the Austrian G overnment, and the citizens of Innsbruck especially, havo boon preparing for an international exposition, to be bold between. May and October, under the patronage ofi His Koval Highness Archduke Ferdinand ■ Charles. This exposition will bo that of physical education, hygiene and sport, as well as of all subsidiary trades and industries. An idea of the scope and interesting character of the exposition is not fully conveyed by tho descriptive title, but may bo bolter appreciated when it is staled that tho range of tho 12 divisions will illustrate life from careless childhood to comfort seeking ago, from tho school house to the domestic interest. Group 1 treats of tho nutrition, care and physical training of children from birth to tho ago when schooling begins, showing tho food and clothing of infants and tho literature of children, supplemented in group 4 by skating and children’s sports, gymnastics,, fencing, swimming and boating and games, indoor and out, being tho subjects of the two .intervening groups. Then comes in group fifth, riding and driving, including models of stables and racecourses, introducing everything in tho saddlery and harness lines. Group sixth will be devoted to cycling, with three subdivisions—velocipedes of all kinds, velocipede components, cycling costumes for men and women. Mountaineering and touring, hunting and fishing and travelling outfits w ill bo profusely illustrated in tho next throe groups, in which nothing to bo known will bo left unknown. Tho exhibits in these throe sections promise to bo unusually interesting by reason of tho wide range of illustration of useful groups. Group 10 will be devoted to athletics and athletic competitions, showing articles suitable for prizes in such contests. Group 11 introduces photography, the apparatus and appliances for the same. The twelfth and final group will bo a valuable because comprehensive exemplification of tho various approved methods of domestic and public sanitation, including bandages and sick room appliances, surgical apparatus, Ac. Mayor Morz is tho president of tho exposition, which is tho result of tho efforts of the most distinguished residents of Tyrol. Incidental to tho exposition will bo a prizo drawing or lottery, the profits of which will create a fund for making tho attractions of the Alpine range bettor known to tourists. The prizes will bo exhibits selected and purchased for tho purpose. Tho awards and prizes arranged by tho committee are numerous and valuable, as much competition is anticipated, especially between the American and .English exhibits in bicycles and saddlery.
