Mr Worrall, who was chief officer of the Mawhera, ,has been ordered to Dunedin to take the same position in the Te Unan. Captain Nolls will probably take command of the Te Anau.
Nows has been received that H. Oscar Q. Kember, son of Mr Henry Ivembor, p he wellknown accountant, bag passed tip first examination for the dogrop of Associate of t)ie London Institution of Actuaries. Master Number, who is still a pupil at the Wellington College, takes the record, it is believed, as the youngest New Zealand boy passing this examination.
Mr Hudson, of the Omapere, having to taka a temporary rest on account of Lines.-, Mr Jamieson, second officer of the Mawhera, wifi probably take his plaoe. Mr J. A. Laing, Wellington, has a letter in the Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News ot May 2nd on doep-soa fishing with rod and line in tho vicinity of Wellington. Detective Gantley, who is leaving Wellington for Oamaru, was presented last night, on behalf of the members of the police force, with a gojd pendant, suitably inscribed.
