THE LATE SIR PATRICK BUCKLEY.

The remains of the late Sir Patrick Buckley were brought into Wellington by road yesterday evening, accompanied by the Very RovFatber Lane, and taken to St. Josoph’a Church, Buckle street, the oofl&n being carried into the church by several old friends of the deceased, including Messrs M. Bohan, Carrigan, W.. Boss, 15. W. Kane, Robinson* D.ennehy, John Gallagher and James Gallagher. It was received at the door of the church by the Very Rev Father Dcvoy and the Very Rov Dr Watter-a, several of the faculty of St, Patrick’s College assisting, while a, large congregation was present in the Prayers for the deceased were said by the Very Rev Father Dovoy, and the watches last night, were kept by several friends of the deceased. At 10.30 this morning Solemn Requiem Mass will bo celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church, and the funeral procession will leave there at 2.3.0 p.m,, proceeding through the town on to Lambton quay, up Molesworth and Hill streets, and thence to the Karon Cemetery. The Government have made arrangements to enable mourners from the Hutt to attend the funeral, and with the object special carriages are to be provided in the 1.30.p.m. train from the Hutt to-day. • In the Court of Appeal yesterday the Chief Justice macle feeling reference to the death of csir- Patrick Buckley, and said the members of the Court could only express their regret, that they had not had the opportunity of making his acquaintance as a colleague. Mr Jollicoe, on behalf of the Bar, also expressed regret, at the death of Judge Buckley, who, he remarked, had always been ready to oxtench assistance to the junior members of the Bar.
