Thrown Off at a Curve la the Line While Passing Between Two Carriages. By Telegraph.—Praia Association, Dunedin, April 21. A passenger by tho express train from Christchurch fell off, ami was billed on tho Dunedin side of Herbert. Tho man's name in supposed to bo J. Macky, and it is thought ho joined the train at Oamnru. It is presumed ho was passing from tho platform of one carriage to another when the jork of rounding a curve caused him to niiss a stanchion and fall. Throe of the carriages passed over him. Information from Herbert states that life was extinct whan tho body was found. Oajiabu, April 21. From papers feimd on tho body, it is supposed tho man killed ou tho railway was a settler named J. Maoky, residing at Kakanui.
