Qoeeu Victoria’s boudoir at Windsor Castle is upholstered in red damask and gold. Oathe door is inscribed, in the Queen’s own beautifully neat and symmetrical writing: “Every article in this room my deeplylamented husband selected for mein the 24th year of my reign.” Medallion: portraits of all the kings of England since the Conquest are bung round a wide bay window in this room. The Queen still keepstbe first bouquet that was ever presented to her by the late Princo Albert. ; Lady Randolph Churchill during a voyage to India allowed herself to be tattooed upon the arm jnst above the wrist. The design she selected w.-js the sympol of eternity, a serpent with bis tail in his mouth. QrdU narily this mark is concealed from obserra* tioa by a golden bracelet.
