BROUGH-BOUCICAULT COMPANY.
1 “ Tho Importance of Being Eayncsf ” is tho title of the new play to bo prbdiiced by tho Brough-Boucicault Company next Wednesday evening. The title is evidently intendedas a pun,,for somo of tho most'amusing incidents of what -ia .really a farcical comedy turn upon tho assumption, by John Worthing and Algernon Moncrioff, of tho Christian name of Ernest because that name lias a peculiar attraction for tho two ladies with whom they are in love, and who will only; marry a man who bears it, tho result or wlfichfis that oach of tboir admirers make arrangements for getting ro-christonod. There! is ; a.'- mystery, connected'with tho birth of John-Worthing, and when this is! cleared up at tho end of the third act it is proved that ho actually.received the desirable name at: his baptism, 1 and his Qonsequont good fortune in winning tho hand of a very charming woman shows the importance of being Ernest.
