CHRISTMAS AT THE ECONOMIC.
Already the Christmas rush has set in at the Economic. Messrs George and Kersley report that their warehouses were yesterday at times uncomfortably crowded during the afternoon, and the pressure of business was such tfiat it taxed the energies of their staff to the utmost. The wonderful value offered by the firm in-every class of goods, whether in such fancy articles as toys, Christmas cards and presents, or the plainer and more matter of fact description of goods as curtains and Manchester goods, as well as dress materials, gloves, hosiery, millinery and costumes, etc., has now become so well known that tho constant expansion of the business has been steady ’and progressive since its inception. 599
