THE TURKISH CRISIS.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. — Copyright. Received November 16. 9 p.m. Constantinople, November 15. The United States squadron will cooperate with the British fleet in Turkish waters. Serious rioting has taken place at Sivas, and great bloodshed has resulted. The foreign residents are protected. Received November 18. 1 a.m. Constantinople, November 16. The Patriarch of Armenia admits that the Armenians have committed provoking massacres. Tho Sultan is alarmed at the increasing sedition among the Ulemas, Pashas and army. London, November 16. The Times publishes a report of three columns of recent outrages in Erzeroum, in which hideous details are given of a systematic massacre by the soldiery. The correspondent alleges that he counted 320 who died on the spot. Constantinople, November 17. Sixteen hundred Armenians were massacred at Sivas and Khaiput. The American mission houses were burnt, but the missionaries escaped. Eighty thousand of redifs, or second landwehr, have been summoned to assist in suppressing the revolt.
