PERMISSION TO APPEAL REFUSED. Upon the Appeal Court sitting yesterday morning in re the motion to appeal on behalf of. Mrs Dean, the Whiten infanticide convict, the Chief Justice, addressing Mr Macdonald (Grown Prosecutor of Invercargill), said that the Court did not deem it necessary to , call , upon the .Crown to yeply. Tho Court really had had no difficulty ip the matter, after hearing the arguments of Rr BipdJay, who appeared in support ot the motion. The Bench were unanimous in the’ opinion that'the motion must be dismissed,'and the Bench give their reasons for so doing in writing pn Wednesdaj’ morning, to which day the (3purt adjourned]
