The amount will be fixed either at 23240 per annum, or 23200 with certain allowances. Reprisals are taking place on the Palmer goldfields between the blacks and the Chinamen. One of the latter has just boon killed, in revenge for the Chinese poisoning a number of blacks with strychnine placed in the flour to detor them from stealing provisions. Received Juno 24, 9.30 p.m. Adelaide, June 24. The Women’s Suffrage League has dissolved, its object, which was to obtain the political enfranchisement of women, having been achieved.
