A tragedy is reported froA Adamstotttt't about four miles from Newcastle. t A girl named Eleanor Turner, aged 12, the adopted daughter of Mrs Gray, while washing dishes, broke a cup. Mrs Gray upbraided the girl for Carelessness, whereupon the latter gave a sattcy reply; .... ~ The Woman in a fit of anger seized a large table knife, which she hurled at the girl. The knife struck the girl in the region of the heart, killing her. ... Mrs Gray has been arrested.
