From Our Own Correspondent. Masterton, May 29. Over an inch of rain fell in Masterton on Monday night. Representations are to be made to the Postal Department, requesting the appointment of a second postman for this town. The delivery of Postman Betty is now altogether tod large, arid he finds it impossible id deliver over the whole^toWii; Considerable interest is , manifested in the. Toivh Lands Trust election; which takes place on Thursday. A young man named Charles Stephenson has been arrested on a charge of stealing a saddle, valued £4, tho property of one Prank Price, from the rear of the premises of a blacksmith’s shop. He was brought before Mr T. E. Price, J.P., to-day, and remanded till Wednesday.
