H.M.S. CUEACOA v. WELLINGTON CLUB. A match was played yesterday on the Basin Reserve between an eleven of H.M.S. CuraQoa and a mixed team of the Wellington Cricket Club, resulting in a victory for the Navy by 16 runs. The feature of the match was the free and fearless hitting of Mr Wall, one of the visitors, his first innings especially being marked by some magnificent drives. R. Gore was topscorer for the Wellingtons, with 45, made up chiefly by boundary hits. Scores— H.
