The exceedingly welcome news was received yesterday afternoon by Messrs Johnston and Co. from Captain Vickerman, of the Murray, now in Nelson, that on Wednesday afternoon ho had sighted the missing barque Achievement about 21 miles to the north-east of Stephen Island. The vessel is now 172 days out from Liverpool, and, as may be imagined, the news of her safety was gladly received. She arrived olf the Heads last evening about 6, but owing to the thick weather she was unable to get in. The Duco went out last night for the purpose of towing her in, but was unable to proceed further than Woraer Bay. The tug was to remain in the bay until the weather cleared, and then go out to the barque.
