All nominations, entries, and acceptances, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must he addressed and delivered to the Secretary not later than the advertised time of closing, with performances, pedigree, and colours of the rider. 4. No entry will be received under any pretence whatever after the hour named. 5. Horses walking over will only receive 50 per cent of the stakes. 6. The Stewards reserve the right to alter the day of meeting, the amount of added money, to mase any addition or alteration to" the meeting at any time prior to the Dominations beoomlng due for each meeting, subject to the approval of the Wellington Racing Club. , 7. Hacks shall mean horses that have never won an advertised stake at the date of meeting (haok and banter races excepted) and that are not nominated for a Derby, Guineas, St Legor, or Sapling Stakes at the time of start.
