STAR BOATING CLUB; The final beat of the Senior Double Sculls w%B rowed i ff on Saturday afternoon, over the mile course from Thomas’ to the boathouse. The competing crews were O. Pearce (*ow), A. Hume (stroke) and H. Palmer (how), H. McLean (stroke). The race proved rather an ea‘y thing for Hum©, who drew away soon after the etait and fton by about four lengths. It was expected, tfter the manner id tVbi?h McLean and Palmar had beaten J, Hum© find O. J. Cooper in a previous boat, that they would hivs to some extent troubled A. Homo and Pearvc in tho final, lu' although they had good strength and weight, not having had fc ny great amount of sculling practice this season, they lacked the skill of their well* matched opponents, both of whom are accomplished scullers. The only club face tint remains to be decided this season is the McLean Fours, 1c which seven crews are engaged, and the date fixed for the first brats Is the Bth April.
