Pood, who made an analyst* of the content* of the stomach of Tbomp?on, the deceased, gave evidence to the effect that he bad discovered strychnine in the contents, as well as ii the stomach itself, in the liver aud other organ*. He thought tho t if bo bad examined other parts be would have die covered more. Be did not teolale enough strychnine in his opinion to account for death. He found a third of a grain, and certainly case? had beoa recorded of death from a quarter of a grain, but they weio v#ry rare. Several medical witneases were called, who deposed that in their opinion death had resulted from strychnine poison, iug. This concluded the case for the Crown, and the Court then adjou* ned.
