The race for the amateur championship of Victoria, in which New Zealand will bo represented by Mr W Bridsnn, of the Wellington Rowing Club, will bo rowed on the Yarra tofinal heat of the Senior Fours (Star Boating Club) was rowed on Saturday afternoon, when J K Smith (bow), N Galbraith (2), H I, Wiggins (3). fL N Pownall (stroke), and Widdop . (cox) defeated C J Cooper (bow), J J> Mills (2),‘ C F Mill ward (3). F X'ownaU (stroke) and Warren (cox) by three lengths, ihe course was from Magazine Point to the chib hou . Mr M C liaruett acted as starter and Mr z, Jackson (deputy captain) as judge.
