SALE OF THE N.Z. REFEREE.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
Christchurch, July 1.
The well known sporting journal, the New Zealand Refereo, has been purchased by the Christchurch Press Newspaper Company, and will be incorporated with the Weekly Press, but kept distinct from the other portions of that paper. The turf columns will be under the control of •• Spectator” and “ Sir Lanncelot,” and an efficient staff to work both papers has been engaged. The first publication- nnder the new arrangement will be this week.
