Keturna.—Globe, 760 z amalgam, from 100 tons ; Keep it Dart, 440 z amalgam, from 48 tons; Venus, S3oz amalgam, from a days crushing with ten head of stampers ; No. 2 Keep it Dark, 20Soz amalgam from GO tons (clean up) • Wealth of Nations, llOoz amalgam, from 89 tons; Progress, 410 oz (clean up for the week). Reports.— No. 2 Keep it Dark.—The reports from the mine are very favourable, and a dividend of sixpence has been struck. Alpine.—Filling in operations are concluded ou the north block, and stoping is proceeding as usual with the reef looking cleaner and maintaining a width of 40ft wide. The contractors for the No G Level have completed 67ft to date, and reef is looking stronger in face of the rise with no appearance of the foot-wall. No. 7 Level is now extended 60ft, and the country is still hard. Hercules.—Tho Mine Manager reports as as follows : —During the week we have put in two sets cf timber, where wo broke through with the rise, and have started to open out by its means an intermedia! drive 12ft below where wo got tho stone in tho rise. Have driven loft and expect to get the reef in another sft. The contractors for extending the south drive have driven 12ft for the week. There is no chance in the face.

Exchange.—The mine manager reports that the total distance risen is 20ft, twelve having been done during the past week. Tho ground has changed, and is now full of leaders well in the centre of the rise, and ho will put a ladder up next week, Inkermau.—The mine manager reports for the week as followa :—The main shaft has been sunk Sft, making a total below No. 2 level of 9Ut. The ground has come in hard again. Am putting a tunnel from creek opposite tho lower paddock, on the South and have got Isiu of gold-bearing stone. The drive is in nice-looking country. Cumberland.—The mine manager reports for the week as followa Have driven Gft on the reef in tho west drive, and am now cutting through it. Have crossed it about Gffc, and no sign of the banging wall. The stone is of excellent quality, and tho gold very coarse. The slopes are all looking well, and have an average thickness of 4ft, and of the usual quality. There are about 210 tons in tho Drake and battery paddookfl. Tho contractors in the low level have driven 2Gft for tho week, making a total of 30ft. The battery commenced crushing ou Saturday morning. Scotia.—The mine manager reports for the week :—Have cleaned out the drive in winze, ana driven a few feet on atone smooth and very thin, and no gold in it. Tho country is very hard, and in the north end tho atone has cut out altogether.

Morrijigs.—The miaa nnuager reports that he hao mat the cross-out and driven 10ft, on a vein of better quality stuff than before. The faoe is full of leaders, all carrying gold, and improves as it goes north. They ere now fully 50ft under the surface. Argosy.—The mine manager reports that the distance driven during the mouth by the contractors in the main level is 57ft, and in the cross.cut 41ft. This drive is still in likely looking country. Inglewood. The contractors are now working on better stone. Mr G. B. Shepherd has gone to Auckland on behalf of certain companies taking with him 300 lbs of quartz tailings for treatment by the Cassel process. The share market is dull.
