THE MAORI POACHING CASE.

Argument for prohibition in the Maori fishing cases to-day iu Banco, before Mr Justice Denniston. came to an abrupt conclusion, owing to the proceedings, as framed, not raising the principal qae-tion whether the Maoris surrendered the fishing rights granted by the Treaty of Waitangi. It was agreed to raise the point by a prosecution in the R.M. Court, and then remove to the Supremo Coart for decision.
