(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) . Christchurch, April 13. On Saturday evening a dembnst/ationWas made in High street against two tradesmen (Grey, a hatter, and Stratz, a jeweller), who kept open after nine, o’clock. A crowd gathered before the shops-and groaned till' the lights were pat out. A few tomatoes were thrown at the windows. No violence was attempted. The crowd consisted principally of young men, some of them shop employes, and boys. Mr Gray explains that he signed the agreement to close at nine on Saturday, but could not this time because several customers were iu the shop.
