General whether, considering the failure of justice in the cases of Crow and McLeod, of Invercargill, William Christie, of Camara, and other cases under the Bankruptcy Act, 1883, the Government will, this session, take steps to amend section 71 by providing a form of warrant which shall be declared sufficient; and whether the said Act vvill be otherwise amended so as to render technical objections unavailing ? The Attorney-General, In reply, said a Bill to amend the existing bankruptcy laws had been prepared, and in all probability would be brought down this session, TOWN ACTS AMENDMENT BILL. This Bill was committed, reported without amendments, and pas-ed all final stages. SHARE RfOTSTER INSPECTION BILL. This Bill was committed, and reported with amendments, the third reading being made an order for tbo next day. The Council, at 3.5 p.m., adjourned to the next day.
