FACTORING COMPANY (Limited) Have established a reputation for manufacturing all their goods from wool, all wool, and nothinu but wool. THE adulteration of Wool with plant fibre has been carried to an extent which the public does not suspect. Goods are made up with all the appearance of wool (and sold as such); but with a percentage of cotton so ingeniously mixed in order to enhance the profit, or reduce the price, that it is difficult to detect the fraud. To test the purity, hold a few threads to a flame. Pure wool fuses to a shapeless mass before it ia consumed leaving a shapeless csfc, and extinguishes directly it is removed from the flame. Cotton burns steadily on after removal from the flame, and the form of the thread is distinctly preserved ia the ash. If the material be an admixture of wool and cotton it will burn irregularly. The Company’s Goods are on view to the general public (but for sale only to wholesale houses) at their Warehouse, LAMBTON-QUAY, WELLINGTON. Works ; Kobo Kobo, Pixose.
