Dunedin, November 2, Arrived —Penguin, from North ; Selembria, from Lyttelton, Sailed —Barque Kassa, for Hobart; Mahinapua, for West Coast, A telegram has been received that the Aorangi passed the Bluff at 9 pm, so that she should reach Port Chalmers early tomorrow.
The U.S.S. Go’s ss Ohau left Greymoufch at 7.30 on Thursday night and arrived here at 9.30 last night. She returns to-day. The U.S.S. Go’s ss Waihi left Blenheim at 2,15 pm yesterday and arrived here at 10.20 last night. The China Navigation Go’s ss Taiyuan left Hong Kong on October 9th, and passed New Ireland next day. Moderate southerly wind with heavy rain squalls were experienced from the 21st to the 26th, thence she had high seas with variable and light airs until the 28th, after whioh she experienced moderate northerly winds and thick weather until arrival at Auckland on Tuesday morning. After discharging part of her cargo she left for Wellington on Wednesday evening, arriving here at 6.30 last night. The Taiyuan has on board four passengers—Mr C. Webb, from Hong Kong to Dunedin, and three Chinese from Auckland, who are returning to China Her cargo for this port is as follows :—llO crates curios, 21 pkgs tea, 7320 bags rice, 831 half-chests tea, 2355 boxes tea, 21,979 bags sugar, 131 pkgs merchandise. After discharging here she will proceed South.
RAILWAY PASSENGERS. The following were through passengers yesterday on the Wellington-Manawatu Railway :—North—Mrs Jamieson, Messrs Pirie, Millar, McDonald, Rodwell; 26 second-class. South—Miss Kebbell, Mrs McNish, Mr Beamish; 50 second-class.
