Homann and party obtained about 23qz in two days, with one nugget about 7oz. The work has been started to-day for the new track to Mahakipawa. Those who ate competent of judging speak very highly of the gradient.

A new reef has been struck 4ft 6in thick between the Southern Cross and Waikakaho boundaries, Homann and party got between soz and 6oz on Thursday on their terrace claim. Aldridge and party struck gold on Thursday, and, by the end of the week, expect to get good gold.
