She left Williamstown at 5.50 pm on the 23rd inst, and reached Hobart at 10 am on tho 25th ; sailed again at 4.30 pm, breasted the Solanders at 7 last evening, and slowed down; experienced variable winds till yesterday morning, when a strong north-east gala set in. Saloon passengers, for Wellington—Mesdames Higginbotham, Thompson, and Haldane, Rev Dr West, Messrs Higginbotham, Thompson, Haldane, Sleigh, Prince, Underwood, Woodham, Von Dadelszen, Scoullar and Halcroft, Sailed Owake Bell, for Kaiapoi, with 31,000 ft of timber, CHEONOMETER-RATING NOTICE, A galvanometer signal for rating chronometers will be given from the Colonial Observatory at noon to-day at the Museum, the Telegraph-office, and the establishments of Messrs Littlejohn and Son, G. L. Jenness, and H. J. Freeman. The true Greenwich time of the signal will bo 12hr 30min. Any difference on this shown by a chronometer will bo the error, plus or minus, of the chronometer.
