The Customs duties collected at the port of Wellington for the week ending Saturday amounted to £5455 0s 4d. Baer duty, £53 la 6d. George Thomas and Co. report produce prices as follows : —The week has been productive of no special business, mainly on account of the broken weather prevalent. With the exception of a still further advance in the price of potatoes, and a .rapid decline in the value for eggs, there are no changes to note. Oats are very firm at la lid to 2s id for feed and 2s 2d to 2s 5d for seed samples ; oatmeal, £9 5s to £9 10s ; oaten sheaf chaff, 4a ; straw ditto, 3s ; flour, £9 for roller and £8 5s for stone process ; fowls' wheat, 2s 6d broken, and 2s 8d to 2s 9d for whole grain ; bran, £3 10s; pollard, £4 per ton ; feed barley at 2s Bd, maize 3s 9d, pearl barley 21s, peas 3a 4d to 3s 6d, and beans 3s 4d are all very dull of sale ; split peas, 17s; prime Derwent potatoes, 65s Oamaru and 55a for Blenheim per ton; onions, £3 10s to £4, market overstocked; prime cheese, 4d to 4|d; factory cure bacon and hams, 7d to 7^d; fresh butter, Is Id; salt do, 8d to 9d; pastry samples, 3d to 4d; eggs, Is 3d per doz. Considerable quantities of poultry have been moved off at the following rates : —Turkeys, 7s ; geese, 5a 6d; ducks, 4s ; fowls, 2s 6d to 2s 9d per pair. A catalogue of pure-bred fowls was quitted at yesterday’s sale at satisfactory prices. Very little fruit is offering. Oranges rule from 3a to 7s 6d, according to quality; lemons, 7a to 9d ; apples (Nelson), 6s to 8s 6d. A small consignment from Hobart (French crabs) is being moved off at 10s to 11s per case. Messrs Edwards and Mcßeath state they cannot report any change this week. Messrs Arthur Warburton and Co. report for the week Banks : New Zealand, sales £ll 7s 6d and £ll ss, sellers £ll 5s ; Colonial, sales43s6d; National,36s. Insurance— New Zealand, sellers 80s ; South British, 445; National, 18s; Union, 255; Standard, 14s 6d; Colonial, 4s 6d; Accident, 7s, Miscellaneous —Loan and Mercantile, sellers 78s ; Land Mortgage, sellers 20s; National Mortgage, 10s ; Mosglel Woollen, 71s : Kaiapoi, 55s ; Drug, 19s ; Westport Coal, sellers 50a 6d ; Wellington Trust and Loan, buyers £6 5s ; Equitable Building, £6 10s; Wellington Building and Investment, £6, cum div; Wellington Gas, £l9, £9 10s, and £2 ; Gear Meat, 65s ; Gear Warrants, £95. Messrs Arthur Warburton and Co. report the following returns of amalgam from the Reefton mines for the week :—Keep-it-Dark, 311 oz from 190 tons ; Globe, 181 oz from 190 tons; Fiery Cross, 190 oz from 80 tons; Welcome; 311 oz from 68 tons ; Progress, 720 z from 90 tons.
