PRIVATE SALE OF TOWN AND COUNTRY PROPERTIES.
Messrs T. Kennedy Macdonald and Co. report the sales of the following sections at Newtown during the past week : Section 53 Edinburgh terrace.
It is satisfactory to note, as showing the increased demand for city building land, that of the 41 sections offered by the firm at auction three weeks ago, only two now remain unsold. 1 Messrs T. Kennedy Macdonald and Co. also report the sales of the following city, suburban, and country properties by private treaty : —Allotments 1 and 2 of Town Acre 383, Hawker-street, in all 85ft hy 100 ft, Mr Pearson, £340 ; allotment 4 of Town Acre 383, Hawker-street, 40ffc x 100 ft, Mr Crorabie, £IGO ; four-roomed cottage, Wallacestrect, land 30ft x 138 ft, Mr Richards, £2OO ; 113 acres, Fitzherbert Block, at £3 per acre, £329 ; shop and house, Tory-street, land 33ft x SOft, £550; allotment 11, Pitone extension, Mr Styles, £2O ; 274 acres, Manawatu District, £1096 ; town sections 8 and 9, Block 111,, Paraparauunt, £10; 1 and 2, Block 1., £l3; section S, Block XII., Kaitawa, 97 h acres, L 134 5s 9d. Also, the following properties, passed in at their auction sale on Friday last, viz.:—The valuable residence in Roxburgh-street, with extensive grounds attached, known as Mr David Clark’s, which has been purchased for £I4OO by Mr C. A. Kuigge, and the family resi* denes in Upper VVillis-street, known as occupied by Dr JKawson, erected on laud 45ft x 162 ft, has been sold for £ISOO.
