Hide 12. Turner took five wickets for 35, and Ferris four for 47. The Australians in their second innings wanted 147 to win, and had lost six wickets for 35 runs when rain put a stop to the play. (Received July 23, 1.50 a.m.) London, July 21. The cricket match Sussex v. Australians was resumed to-day, the game ending in a victory for the former by 58 runs. In the second innings the Australians made a poor stand, the last wicket faliing with the total at S 3. Turner played a fine innings for 39, As did Trott for 25. Humphreys’ bowling with lobs was most effective, and he secured nine wickets for 49 runs. The match on Monday will be against Yorkshire instead of the Past and Present of Cambridge University.
