Having had a bad face for some years, and tried various kinds of treatment, all of which failed, I called on Dr Speer. He told me what disease it was, which none of the other doctors could do, and has completely cured me in six weeks. These are facts, and I feel grateful to the doctor for relieving me of a very unpleasant complaint, and advise other sufferers to give him a trial. Db Speer,—About a year ago, when yon were in Wellington, I consulted you about bad pains in my head and shoulders, and general bodily ailments. I was about two years under various doctors, and was treated from the Wellington Hospital, but I received no benefit; in tact, I was worse instead of better. After being treated by' Dr Speer for about six weeks, I found myself, much to my surprise, as well as ever, and I have kept so to this day. I have suffered for live years from a sore leg, and I have applied to several medical men in Dunedin without effect simply throwing my money away. Neilsen. Dunedin, October 23, 1886. I have been ill two years, and have tried four doctors in Dunedin without effect. I have been four weeks under Dr Speer’s treatment, and am nearly well. St. Helier’s Cottage, Frederick-st, Dunedin, Jan. 12, 1887. I have been ill about six years. I came to New Zealand for the benefit of my health about four years ago, but got worse. I was over four months in the Dunedin Hospital, the card over my bed stating my disease to be consumption, and I was discharged as they could do no good. I picked up one of Dr. Speer’s Handbills in the Hospital grounds, and called too see him. He laughed at my sad appearance, and said, “be happy, old man, you are worrying over the past, you have been frightened, do as I tell you and you will soon feel like a new man.” In ten weeks 1 find he was right. I feel better than I have for years, and am ready to go to work. Any one doubting this statement can call and see me at above address, and they will find me smiling and in good health.—John Brown.
