The ss Kennedy left Nelson at 8 pm on the 10th inst, and arrived at Wanganui at 1 pm next day ; left again at 3.30 pm; put into Chau Bay on the 12th on account of strong SE gale, where she remained for two days. She left Ohau Bay at 10 am yesterday, and arrived here at 3 pm. „ ' The ss Rosamond left Greymouth at 4 am on the 13th, and arrived here at 6 o’clock last night. She experienced fine weather till abreast of Stephens Island,fat 6.30 am yesterday, thence heavy SB winds and sea. The Rosamond returns this evening. The as Maori left Greymouth at 4 am on the 12th inst., and arrived here a*-- 6 pm yesterday. She was obliged to put into Queen Charlotte Sound for shelter from SE gale. The Maori return* this evening. The ss Orowaiti left Westport at 4.30 pm on the 13th, and arrived here at 8 o’clock last evening. She experienced strong SE winds and head sea throughout the passage. The ss Napier left Eoxton at 2 pm on the 11th inst. ; had to put into Ohau Bay for shelter from the SE gale, where she remained for three days. She left Ohau Bay at 2pm yesterday, and arrived here at 7.30 pm. She returns this evening. The sa Kanieri, from Picton, arrived here at 6 o’clock last evening, and returns this evening. DETAINED STEAMERS. HThe steame*- Rotomahana, which was detained in Worser Bay by tba gale on Friday night, returned to the wharf at 10.30 am on Saturday. She got away for Auckland, via East Coast, on Saturday evening. The Doric, which was al-o detained in Worser Bay, put back on Saturday morning, and anchored in the harbor. She left for Lyttelton yesterday morning. The St. Kilda, from West Coast, is considerably overdue, and is reported to have taken shelter at Gore Bay. She was expected to make harbor early this morning.
