Any difference is error, plus or minus, of the chronometer. The es Moa, from Westport, arrived here yesterday morning. She returned last night. The H.S.S. Co a sa Penguin, which arrived from the North early yesterday morning, reports having passed the barque Kate Latham of Napier, about 20 miles west of Stephen’s Island. The Penguin left for the South yesterday afternoon. The ss Stormbird left Wanganui at 11.30 pm on Wednesday, and arrived at 10.30 am yesterday. She returns to-day. The ship Timaru got away from Worser Bay at 5.30 am yesterday morning for London,

REMOVAL OF WRECK BUOY, FRENCH PASS. We are informed by the Secretary Marine Department that the buoy which was placed to mark the position of the wreck of the ss Lyttelton has been removed, as the mast of the Lyttelton, which formed an obstruction to navigation, has been taken away by ;the ss Stella.
