Klingstein’a fire extinguisher will be tested at 11.80 a.m. to-day, on the reclaimed land, Thorndon, Mr W. C. Chatfield invites tenders for painting and paperhanging. A notice appears to consignees by the ship Oamaru. Messrs Laery and Campbell hold a market sale at 10 a.m. to-day, and sell horses* frt 2 p.m. Mr Baylia, Hanson-street, advertises gravel for sale. Messrs J, M. Snelson and Co., of Palmerston, sell, at 2 p.m. on the 22nd inst., rural sections, township of Palmerston. Mr T, Anson Cato, at Messrs Hislop and Co.’s, Lambton-quay, is sole agent for Dr Carter Moffatt’s Ammoniaphone. Dr Speer, of Westminster Chambers, inserts a medical notice. “Confusion” will be repeated for the last time at the Theatre Royal to-night. The Rev J. K.
