A MISSING TOWN CLERK.
(UNITBD PRESS ASSOCIATION.) ■ Christchurch, May 5. The Kaiapoi Borough Council are in trouble ttbouf their Town Clerk, They have seen nothing of him fur ten day*, and several of the book* are mis*iog. At a meeting last night the Council resolved that a eearch warrant bo obtained that, the Clerk’* house may be searched for the missing books, and that each other action be taken aa may be deemed necessary by the Mayor.
