The returns of the Board cf Trade state that in the United Kingdom during the first nine months of last year 676 persons wei® killed, and 2608 injured on and about the railways of the United Kingdom. The numbers for the like period of 1884 were 829 killed and 2984 injured. _ Of these, six passengers were killed during last year, as compared with 32 during the like period in 1884, and 329 were injured, the number in 1884 being 557. Servants ot companies or contractors killed were 323, and injured 1536, the number in 1384 having been 395 and 1743 respectively. Of trespassers, some of whom were suicides, 213 were killed and 93 injured, as compared with 254 and 139 respectively in 1884.
