The Government steamer Hinemoa left Lyttelton’at 4.30 pm on Wednesday, and atrlved here at 9.30 yesterday morning. The ss Jane Douglas left Foxton at 2.45 pm on Wednesday, and arrived here esfrly yesterday, She returns to-day. The U.S.S. Co’sßotorualeft Dunedin at 3 30 pm on the 12th inst, and reached Lyttelton at 3.15 am on the 13th; left again at 9.15 pm same day, and arrived here at 0,30 yesterday afternoon. Experienced fre*h S.E. breeze with thick weather to Lyttelton, thence light variable winds and fine weather to arrival. She sailed last night for Picton, Nelson, Taranaki and Onehunga. ■ The A.L.S. Charles Edward, from West Coast ports and Nelson, arrived here at 8 am yesterday, having left Nelson at 9 pm on Wednesday, She returned last night. The U.S.S. Go’s Waihi came off the Slip yesterday morning, after having received a complete overhaul, and sailed for Blenheim last evenmg. * The S.S, and A. Co’s steamer Tamm will not come alongside the Queen’s Wharf before her departure for London, the steamer Kiwi conveying the remainder of her cargo off to her. The U.S.S. Go's Hawea, with the Northern portion of the English mail, which left here by the K.M.S, Ruapehu last night, left Onehunga at £ls pm on Wednesday, crossed the bar at 2.45 pm, passed Stephen’s Island at 0.50 pm and arrived here at 6.30 pm yesterday, She sails for Lyttelton to-day. The U.S.S. Co’s Hauroto, from Sydney direct, arrived at an early hour this looming. DEPARTURE OF THE R.M.S. RUAPEHU FOR LONDON. The N.Z.S. Co’s R.M.S. Ruapehu took her departure for London at 8.30 last night for London, via Rio de Janeiro, She took away .27 saloon, 13 second cabin, and five steerage passengers, and a full cargo of produce, including about 15,000 carcases of frozen meat, of which 8000 were shipped here, and ten boxes of gold, shipped by the Bank of New Zealand.
