She brought the following saloon passengers ;—Mrs Lockington, Miss McGee, Messrs Deo, James, Russell, Harle, Rowe, Robinson, Verguson, S. Brown, Jl’irtli. She sails for Southern porta to-mor-'"'rile Anchor Line steamer Charles Edward arrived from West Coast ports and Nelson at 7 am yesterday, having loft the latter port at 8 the previous evening. She returns to-day. ... , T . , The departure of the steamers Hma for IVanganui and St. Kilda, for Greymoutb, has been postponed until to-day. G. he latter steamer was detained for the purpose of being surveyed on behalf of the Marino Department. The sa Go-Ahead left Napier at & pm on Monday, and arrived here 24 hours later, having experienced lino weather. She goes on the Blip this morning. . . Tiie steam colliers Kawatiri and Timaru loft Westport, the former at 1.45 pm, and the latter ton minutes later. The Kawatiri arrived in port at 3.15 pm yesterday, and went alongside the lluapehu to coal her, while the Timaru, also laden with coal for the Ruapehu, arrived here at 7.10 pm, and anchored off the Queen’s Wharf. Tho ss Wakatu went over to the Gear Company’s wharf at Petone yesterday morning to take in 100 casks of tallow for transhipment to the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company’s ship Lyttelton, now loading at Picton for London, and sailed for Picton, Kaikoura, and Lyttelton last evening. . , . nr A telegram has been received by Messrs Levin and Co., the agents, from Port Chal-mer-s, stating that the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company’s chartered steamer Coptic is expected to leave that port for Wellington tomorrow, and should arrive hero on Friday evening or Saturday.
