Auction, This Day.—Francis Sidey and Cosell, at 2 p.m., near Foresters’ Arms, Ghuznee* street, household goods ; no reserve. In Bankruptcy.—Creditors in the estate of R. S. Martin are requested to prove claims on or before the 17th inat.
Wesley Church.—The fortieth anniversary of the Wesley Church Sunday School will take place on Sunday next. Bazaar.—A bazaar in aid of the funds of the Thorndon Wesleyan Church is announced to be held in March next. Ladies’ Christian Association.—The halfyearly meeting will be held in the rooms of the Young Men’s Christian Association, Athenceum r this afternoon.
Potatoes. —Laery and Campbell notify sale of potatoes on future date. In Bankruptcy.—J. W. Stevenson, of this city, sharebroker, has filed a declaration of insolvency. Boating Season.—The season will be opened with a procession of boats to-morrow, Wellington Jockey Club.— The adjourned meeting will be held this evening at the Post Office Hotel.
Teachers* Association.—An Important meeting will be held at the Athenaeum at 12.30 p.m. on Saturday. Election.—An election of five members of Kaiwarra Town Board is announced. Nominations must be sent in not later than 20th instant. Sale of Flax-dressing Ac.— George Thomas announces sale of above for tomorrow. ■
