Her state rooms, smoking, and ladies’ rooms, bathrooms (four), and barbers’ rooms are all of the most commodious and elegant description. The second saloon is also very superior, fitted with bathrooms, piano, and every comfort. The steerage is well provided with lavatories, heated with steam, and has good promenade space. The vessel is lit throughout with electricity. Powerful refrigerating engines nn board enab’e all meat, fish, game, milk, &c., to be carried frozen for the whole passage. It is intended, weather permitting, that she shall go through the Straits of Magellan, and call at Rio Janeiro, universally pronounced the loveliest harbor in the world.
