In pursuance of the powers vested in them in this behalf, the Council of the City of Wellington ordain as follows : Any ‘person having any privy or closet upon his premises connected, either, directly or indirectly, with the Corporation water-supply, or who is desirous of having any privy or closet upon his premises so connected, shall forthwith give written- notice of the same at the office .of-the Town Clerk. t Upon receipt of such notice the Town Clerk shall cause.an inspection of the premises to be made by the City Surveyor, who shall forthwith (examine such premises, and report in writing as to the fitness of the premises, and as to the desirability or otherwise pf having the aforesaid - privy or closet, connected with the Corporation water-supply.'
