(Received September 22, 1.15 p.m.) Alexandria, September 21. The report which was current that Abdellad, the commander at Damietta, had been shot by his troops is now known to have been without foundation. The rebel garrison at Damietta will be ■ forthwith summoned to surrender, otherwise the place will be bombarded by the British ironclads. The Khedive has postponed his departure for Cairo till Monday next. A commission, consisting of Native and European officers, has been appointed to prosecute those who have been guilty of outrages against Europeans during the rebellion. It has been arranged _ that British officers shall participate in the courtmartial to be held at Cairo to try the • rebel officers.

Arabi is reported to be ill, suffering from dysentery and fever. (Received September 22, 6.5 p.m.) London, September 21. The European factories at Tantah have ‘been looted by the rebels.
